Stay Awake for Homelessness 2020
Time & Location
About the Event
Living Youth are running 'Stay Awake for Homelessness' on Friday 28th February. Living Youth are joining with other youth organisations, across Ireland, to raise awareness and raise vital funds for homelessness, by staying awake all night. The event will begin at 8pm and end at 6am on Saturday morning (29th).
We are inviting all young people aged 17- 25 (or 16 years old but in Year 13) to join us, with particular welcome to those doing the PJPII Award (worth 2 x PJPII Activities). Please note; if you are under 18, your parents/guardians will also need to complete a written consent form. This form will be sent in an email.
During the night there will be a range of activities (talks from organisations, movies, music etc) as well as Mass and prayer time outside at St Mary's Grotto, so that we can get a small feel of what it might be like to spend a night on the streets!
Everyone taking part has to pay £5 and they need to get £5 from 4 other people so that they each raise £25 (minimum) for the homeless charities.
All proceeds go towards St Patrick's Mercy Door Soup Kitchen and Morning Star House.
We hope you can join us for this event.
